Clinical Background and Expertise

Dr. Stoppelbein has spent her career working with children and families in need to mental health assessment and treatment.  She first began her professional career as the Clinical Director at the University of Mississippi Medical Center's Acute Child Psychiatric Inpatient Unit and then became the Vice President of Clinical Services at Glenwood, Inc. where she oversaw the outpatient programming for the agency.  In her current position as the Director of the University of Alabama Autism Spectrum Disorders Clinic, she oversees the clinical and administrative responsibilities of the clinic as well as providing both clinical and research oversight and supervision to both graduate and undergraduate students looking to gain experience in a clinical setting.
